Workspace Featured in Business Week

Just a quick shout-out and congrats to Bill and Dane and the rest of the awesome Workspace community.

Workspace was featured recently in Business Week in a feature they are doing on Co-Working and the future of workplaces.

They used on of my photos of the space for the online slideshow and who knows maybe it will appear in print too. Thx for the all the hard work ya'all do... we've definitely got a good thing going here... and thx for using my pics.

WTB: Photography Light Kit and Tripod

Hey there guys. I've been shooting different types of pics lately and I think I'd get a lot of benefit out of buying a tripod and light kit. Here's approx what I'm looking for...

lights: something with batteries. maybe 'monoheads'. i need the whole kit.. lights, stands, the battery, etc etc

tripod: something that will hold my heavy ass camera and lenses. doesn't need to be top of the line, but it would be nice if it was a) sturdy, and b) has a head that can be operated with one hand.

I don't know that much about this stuff so any advice or recommendations would be good, but really what I'm looking for is something selling mid-range used gear for cheap. Please point me in the right direction if you hear of anything or know anyone.

Photobooth @ Workspace

For those of you who don't know, that lil white 'puter sitting on the bar at Workspace has an awesome app on it called Photobooth. It works with the onboard camera and you can take fun and silly pics of yourself and the peeps you see at Workspace. I'm currently working on a lil documentary project where I take at least one snap everytime I show up at the space. It's been fun and I have quite the collection going. If you do take some please tag them 'photobooth' and 'workspace' so we can find them on the internet. You can also submit them to the Workspace group on Flickr. I'm going to make a Qoop poster of them all my Workspace Photobooth self portraits and give it to Bill for Xmas. :)
