Google founders park plane on NASA runway

In case you haven't heard, google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin keep their jet in Google's backyard, thanks to a deal they struck with NASA, who operates an exclusively federal runway on Moffett field.   Yup, for a price, NASA moved their jets over ...

I wonder:  would a highly successful money-coaching company founder (ahem, with a seminar series for single parents commencing in 2 weeks) park her plane in her backyard?  If Greg Kerfoot can convince the Vancouver port authority to give public waterfront to his stadium, perhaps I have reason to hope ...

Juicy financial gossip for geeks and cdns

Now here's some really fun economic gossip!

1.  Turns out Rogers Canada (owned in large part by AT&T) charges Canadians about 6 (six!) times the price for wireless data than AT&T charges their US customers.   Canada: $299/month.   US: $63/month.   There's an online petition to Rogers if you care to protest.

2.  And on the tech theme,  Google just bought Postini Inc.   What's postini? It provides security for e-mail.   This means gmail will become even more popular.  Google's stock price rose by $3.16US, while Microsoft fell by 10¢.

Just few thoughts on Facebook (yawn). If you're reading this and you do not have an account or know what this is, you're missing out on a world that is, well, unnecessary I suppose, but happening and expanding without you - how much does that matter to you? (Mom - you're exempt for not being a part of this: privacy out the window and it was originally set up for students, as the name suggests. You'd loathe it.)

I have not gone onto Facebook and actively searched for anybody, but I do accept those prompts from people whom I have met in person before and confirm him or her as a "friend" online. (Note: I have indeed rejected people that I have never met before who have tried to add me as a friend. This is not something I practice across the board in social networks, just this one.)
