Submitted by Dane Brown on Mon, 08/21/2006 - 16:30.
Sorry for being a few days late with this announcement. We had planned to reveal the photo contest winners on Friday but we got too busy preparing for the party and it didn't happen.
Without further ado, here is the list of winners in alphabetical order:
WorkSpace Officially Opens Tomorrow
Submitted by Dane Brown on Mon, 08/21/2006 - 16:10.
WorkSpace will officially open tomorrow (Tuesday August 22nd) at 12:30pm. We were hoping to be ready on Saturday but, because of a delay involving one last city inspection we are forced to wait until tomorrow afternoon to open our doors to members. Thank you everyone for being so patient. I know there are many of you who are excited to get in and get to work.
See you all tomorrow!

Liveblogging From The Unveiling
Submitted by Dane Brown on Fri, 08/18/2006 - 23:43.
It's almost midnight and I'm blogging from the courtesy iMac at WorkSpace. The party is still going strong and I think people are as stoked about the space as we are!
Tonight has been awesome. The people, food, drinks, and music have all been amazing. I'll try to round up a picture of the chair dancing debauchery that took place earlier. Essentially we had 10 or 15 people seated in our rolling desk chairs shaking it on the floor like there was no tomorrow. Very cool.
I want to give a HUGE shout out to everyone who helped us prepare for the event, especially our girlfriends Steph, Emily, and Natasha who worked as hard as we did and didn't complain once. Bill, Eric, and I owe you the world.
The Final Countdown
Submitted by Dane Brown on Tue, 08/15/2006 - 13:16.
WorkSpace is so close to opening that we can taste it. The space itself looks amazing and the construction guys and gals should be completely finished today. There are still a few details to take care of but we'll be good to go for the party on Friday. We don't want to spoil the surprise so you don't get to see any pictures until after the unveiling. If you'd like to attend please [email protected] or upcoming.org.

We were a little concerned that we weren't going to get ANY entries to the photo contest but the submissions are coming in quickly now.
Above are a couple of shots from Ariane and Scott. Check out their blog post that has some more photos that they took for the contest but didn't submit. Very cool.

Jeremy's Entry
Submitted by Dane Brown on Thu, 08/10/2006 - 09:31.
Jeremy Crowle of Burnkit just sent us this rad picture for the contest. That thing he's sitting in is a shipping container that has been cut in half and stacked inside the Burnkit offices. Awesome.

Pierce Brosnan in Gastown
Submitted by Dane Brown on Tue, 08/08/2006 - 15:36.
Over the past week a construction crew has transformed the building at 225 Carrall St. into a 1940's camera shop for Marriage, the movie that is currently being filmed there. Today they began shooting and Eric, our intern and resident paparazzo, was able to get a great photo of Pierce Brosnan as he prepared for his scene.
Thanks to Darren's post I have sent a tip to Jaunted's Chasing Vancouver.
